World Kitchen

The World Kitchen is a mobile performative kitchen created for The Village Festival. A stage for artists and people to tell stories, cook food and create performances and community.

The Imaginary love child of Nigella and the Swedish Chef, The World Kitchen is a food performance venue that hosts food demonstrations from the serious to the spurious, a cut-throat Iron Chef competition, gastonomic theatre shows and a Long Table Lunch. The World Kitchen is an excellent platform for community members from varying cultural traditions to share their culture through food.

In addition to being part of Village Festivals since 2013, The Village World Kitchen has had independent outings for Multicultural Arts Victoria in 2018-2019, City of Port Phillip in 2017 and The Desert Harmony Festival in Tennant Creek in 2016 – 2017.
